Company History/Bios
Tampa Crane & Body was founded in 1996 primary selling and serving Autocrane mechanics trucks to the local CAT dealer. The original shop was a small 2 bay shop located on Broadway Ave. in Tampa, Florida. As the business grew and more space was needed for the increasing customer base and product lines the shop was moved to our current location on 50th St. here in Tampa.
In 2001 the current owner, Brian Glover, purchased the company from Jon and Connie Grubb, the founders. The company has grown significantly over the last 13 years and now represents many top products lines of truck mounted cranes, truck bodies, refuse equipment and other truck equipment products. Our services have expended to included welding and fabrication, hydraulic and electrical repair, paint & body repair as well as sandblasting.
In 2005 we expanded our facility with addition of 5,000 sq. ft. of shop space and a new parts department. We now have over 11,000 sq. ft. of shop space, a state-of-the art 50’ spray booth, 2500 sq. ft. of office space that sits on 5 acres of land conveniently located near the I-4 and I-75 intersection. We are poised to continue grow and service our customers for many years to come.
Owner/President

purchased the company in 2001 and is actively involved in the day-to-day operations and sales operations.
Sales Department
- Andrew Solo – Sales Manager – Started with Tampa Crane & Body in 1996 and has over 30 years of industry experience. Responsible for sales in Central Florida.
- Harold Armington – Territory Manager – Started in 2007 and has sales responsibilities for North and South Florida.
Parts and Service Department
Paint and Body Shop
- Jerry Barron – Paint Shop Manager – Opened the Tampa Crane & Body paint shop in 2008 and bring over 30 years of industry experience.
- 3 Full-time Paint and Body Technicians
Administration
- Starr Sanders – Office Manager/Accounting – Over 20 years of office administration experience.
